November 2008

The girls and I flew to Florida for my "comadres" bridal shower and we had a wonderful time. The theme was a "Luau", Lizette's friends Cindy and Jessica did a great job with all of the decorations and fun games.

First Day in Kindergarten

Cenia's first year of school! She is now in Kindergarten! and I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. I remember when she was a baby and now she is such a big girl! She is doing great with the new school and new friends.

I love this school I have been helping out about 2-3 times a week and I can bring Victoria with me, so it works out for all of us.

I'm a little behind but I will try to catch up..

B-day Dinner Surprise

My wonderful husband planned a really nice dinner for my b-day with family and friends. He made arrangements at "Las Campanas" restaurant, where my cousin Jose is the chef. It turned out to be a really relaxing dinner with music and wine!
These are the girls, Myrna, Monica, Olga, Esme and me.

My Little Mermaid

We dressed Victoria as the Little Mermaid for a small b-day party, it was during the week so only a few members of the family were able to show up. She had a wonderful time!
Notice how Victoria is related to my Tia Alex, she hates pictures and never looks at the camera.

The twins put on Cenia's high heels and had a blast!

Obviously we still need to work on our listening skills!

Xavier

We drove up to Davis, CA to meet our beautiful nephew Xavier Tilden and had a great time. Isn't he gorgeous?? He's a great baby, did not cry and was very easy to put him to sleep. Can't wait to see him again in November.

The girls love Tio Steve and Tia Liz.

Do I need to say anything else?
Cenia, Victoria and Noah
It always amazes me how well the three of them play together.

Tia Liz bought a b-day cake for Victoria and she was so excited because it was a Dora ice cream cake. Thank you Tia Liz! The only problem is that Cenia would like to celebrate her birthday in Davis next year.

Summer 2008

We have had a wonderful summer. We were lucky enough to have my uncle his wife Allison and two children Alexa and Eliseo come and visit. Uncle Alonzo had not seen my aunts and mom in about 29 years, since we left El Salvador, so it was quite a reunion for everyone. Many tears of enjoyment were shed. This is Alonzo, Tia Laura and Eliseo posing for us before she went back home to Florida.

These are my first cousins Brenda and Edwina
Allison with her great smile and the youngest cousin in the family Eliseo.

Costa Rica

We went to Costa Rica in June to visit my father, and the girls had an amazing time. The last time that he saw Cenia, she was only 5 months old and he had never met Victoria. So it was time to visit again. We went during their winter time and as you can see we wore shorts everyday because it was pretty warm and very humid. Here is my dad with Victoria, Cenia and myself.

Mario and his father in law.

We spent four days in Manual Antonio and Victoria absolutely enjoyed playing in the sand. Here she is making a sand castle with her cousin Jorge.

Here is Cenia with her cousins Andrea, Gladys and Valerie.

This is my uncle Adolfo with his daughter Mila and grandaughter Natalie.
We went on our trip for 11 days with my two sister in laws and their family, so it was a group of 13. Lukily everything went pretty smooth.

This is the minivan that we rented for our trip.
